[y]our2040 gathering 2023: Exploring regeneration – from personal to planetary

Regenerative leader, geographer, social entrepreneur : Christa Herrmann is a generalist reconnecting a fragmented world. Fascinated by the human body ever since, former athlete Christa quickly fell in love with the Earth’s body when she transitioned out of her sports career. Bringing invaluable community building experience from this time, she’s been simplifying soil complexity and regenerative lifestyles for +5 years.

Her CALLING QUESTION: How can we identify, unleash & celebrate the capabilities of each human and QUESTION. How can we identify, unleash & celebrate the capabilities of each human and organization to thrive together whilst regenerating life on Earth?

My role

In 2023, the [y]our2040 gathering was all about „Exploring Regeneration: From personal to planetary“. I was honored to receive an invitation as a speaker to represent an applied, local-regional lense of regeneration. My dialogue with Daniel Wahl, thought leader in the field and author of „Designing Regenerative Cultures“, and skillfully hosted by Chris Lübkeman, turned into an inspiring exploration on bridging conceptual with practical elements of regeneration. Additionally, I represented our postdisciplinary project “Terravibe – Flüstern aus der Erde” as a case study throughout the whole gathering, which consisted of 2 focused workshops to integrate the collective intelligence as well as continuing network weaving with the diverse audience on-site.

Each year [y]our annual gathering focuses on a futures-relevant topic to raise awareness, share knowledge and drive change on a relevant on a unique aspect of our world today. We shape visionary narratives, define pathways and outline actions we can all take today towards positive, pragmatic and plausible futures.
