Abstract
This compilation is for all those who want to enjoy life beyond today and contribute to a healthy planet. It is intended to support newcomers and established experts in digging into key soil health and biodiversity resources. We hope it will help you grasp the big challenge we are facing.
Let’s dig in. While soils have been sustaining human life and well-being since the dawn of time, interest in them has only recently moved beyond academic, agricultural and conservation circles. Indeed, soils as a nature- based solution to the global challenges of humanity has attracted global attention for the past 2-3 years.
So, why do soils matter? In short, if soils are healthy and managed sustainably, they provide food, clean water, habitats for biodiversity and other essential services while contributing to climate resilience.
This compilation lists essential resources around soil health and biodiversity, which are the focus of terrabiom. The content is divided into four main themes: Soil & Soil Health, Economy & Nature, Biodiversity & Climate, Sustainable Development & Regeneration.
We hope this compilation inspires you to rethink the role of regenerative businesses and reimagine the world we want to leave for future generations.
